As Calogero works at sea he only operates from time to time
When he was very young Calogero was introduced to the hobby by his brother and then later on, he gained more experience with his very good friend Pasquale 1 CI 983.
Enjoying all aspects of the radio, Calogero likes ordinary QSOs as much as taking part in contests and activations.
So far, since the begining of the year 2022, he has made 228 QSOs and worked 68 divisions.
His working conditions consist of an ALINCO DX 10 radio and a SIRIO Blizzard 2700 antenna.
On the air since 1993, Calogero is an enthusiastic DXer operating from Trapani in Western Sicily.
Located on the West coast of Sicily, Trapani is the capital city of the province of Trapani.
It is an important fishing port and the main gateway to the Egadi Islands.
Trapani is known as the “City of Salt and Sail”. For over 2000 years the lagoon between Marsala and Trapani has been supplying salt, making both towns rich.

When he is not busy in his shack, Calogero enjoys watching the “italian Calcio” (The Italy national football team).
He also likes fishing and he dedicates time to his dogs which are his favourite animals.
