On air : Alex from Minas Gerais state in southeastern Brazil

Minas Gerais is known for its heritage of architecture and colonial art in historical cities. In the colonial era, the Brazilian interior was colonized by the Portuguese. The Brazilian gold rush ushered in an influx of new settlers in search of veins of gold (discovered 1693) and gems, and later diamonds. Some important cities of this era are for example Ouro Preto and Diamantina.

On the air since 2008, Alex has worked and confirmed 77 DXCC.
He loves working new divisions and he is waiting for the cycle 25 to improve his personal DXCC score.
His working conditions consist of a Cobra 148F GTL radio, a KL 503 RM amplifier and a one element Delta loop antenna.
The Cobra 148F GTL is unique because it came stock with a built in frequency counter.
It basically is a Cobra 148 with the Frequency Counter and some push buttons instead of the standard switches.
The frequency counter is only a 5 digit counter.
