José
José lives in a built up area of Lisbon, so that is why he prefers to do his Dxing from his second QTH which is located in the area of Santarém.

On the air since 1990, José started broadcasting in AM and soon replaced the small transceiver with a President Jack, his first SSB radio. Then he got a President Lincoln MKI, that he is still using.
After a break of several years, José came back on the air 2 years ago using a President Lincoln along with a Sadelta Echo Master Plus Classic microphone
and a Kenwood TS-590S + UR6QW equalizer with a Behringer XM8500 micro.
His Antenna is a 5/8 Sirio Gain Master.
José is also a fully licenced radio amateur. He and a friend have developed a project named SDRPT, that consists in several web SDR receivers.
You can find them at https://sdrpt.pt and try HF/VHF/UHF/QO-100 and air band. The receivers and antennas are at his house and are online 24/7.
Set up over a year ago, they are now used worlewide used and have 50 000 + access.

José loves to travel and once in a while his job takes him to Angola and Mozambique.
He is a great fan of the Benfica football club. His other hobbies are astronomy, tropical fish, cooking and taking care of his car.
We wish you the best of luck with your DXing and we hope to meet you soon on the air.

“My most memorables contacts took place not long ago, at the end of 2021:
I was CQing and I got a response from 43 division. I didn’t know what country it was, so I searched in my paper and when I saw where it was I couldn’t believe it. I made the QSO and I was happy to confirm it with a QSL card that I received from the australian operator. I had some more famous contacts in 2022 with Tahiti in French polynesia, Qatar and Indonésia.”
